Father's Day Shopping Outing on Main Street

On June 15th, in celebration of Father’s Day, we organized a special outing to Vancouver’s Main Street to give our senior participants a joyful and engaging shopping experience. Due to the size of our group, the seniors were thoughtfully divided into several smaller teams, each guided by one or two volunteers. This allowed everyone to move at a comfortable pace while exploring a variety of shops and boutiques. Along the way, seniors enjoyed meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and the excitement of selecting Father’s Day gifts, while volunteers provided translation services, support and companionship. The outing not only encouraged independence and community engagement, but also created warm, memorable moments that made the day both enriching and festive for everyone involved.
