Digital Literacy Workshop: Basic Computer Skills

On May 30th, we organized a digital literacy workshop to support our senior participants in developing essential computer skills. Our volunteers guided participants through basic tasks such as using a mouse, navigating several websites (e.g. BC bus pass for seniors webpage; Translink Trip Planner, and YouTube), and saving and printing information from webpages. Seniors were encouraged to ask questions throughout the session and actively practiced their skills, including learning how to search for and watch videos on YouTube. The workshop provided a supportive, hands-on learning environment that helped build confidence and promoted greater independence in using digital technology.
