Cultural Outing to Victoria's Chinatown

On June 28th, our Senior Mental Enrichment Program enjoyed a cultural and historical outing to Victoria’s Chinatown. This date was carefully chosen as there were no major festivals or large events taking place, allowing for a quieter environment that prioritized comfort and safety for our seniors participants. They explored iconic landmarks such as Fan Tan Alley and the Gates of Harmonious Interest, while also taking time to stroll through the surrounding neighborhood and appreciate its rich history and architecture. The visit concluded with a shared meal at local Chinese restaurants, where everyone enjoyed traditional cuisine and meaningful conversation. The trip offered a relaxing, enriching experience that blended cultural learning and social connection.
