Canada Day Celebration at Steveston Salmon Festival

On July 1st, our Senior Mental Enrichment Program took part in the Canada Day celebrations at the Steveston Salmon Festival in Richmond, enjoying a lively yet well-organized community event. Participants watched the popular Canada Day Parade, taking in the festive atmosphere and patriotic spirit. The group sampled a variety of tasty delights from community food stations and local food trucks, as well. The outing also included a visit to the Japanese Cultural Show, where participants watched engaging martial arts demonstrations and other cultural performances. They explored the Art Show, appreciating the creativity and talent of local artists, and enjoyed a relaxed stroll through the Marketplace and Tradeshow. Overall, the trip provided a vibrant and enriching experience that blended cultural appreciation, entertainment, and social connection in celebration of Canada Day.
